Britten Oboe Quartet in Aldeburgh

Britten’s enchanting Phantasy Quartet, known for its captivating interplay between musicians, starts this afternoon’s concert with Nicholas Daniel’s Britten Oboe Quartet.

Alongside this work sits Mozart’s dazzling Oboe Quartet plus two more recent compositions – Huw Watkins’ Oboe Quartet, which will receive its premiere this summer, and Jacqueline Shave’s haunting and thought-provoking take on traditional tunes.
