Nicholas Daniel & Friends at Barnes Music Festival

11 March at 19:30

Nicholas Daniel and friends come together to offer a rich programme that promises to show off their musical expertise and extensive shared experience. Their performances not only uphold the highest musical standards but also spotlight lesser-known compositions, celebrating works from Britain and beyond.

Hailed as a dream team in the chamber music realm, Nicholas Daniel and the other principal members guarantee a performance of exceptional prowess. Their repertoire spans from Dodgson’s The Old Cigarette Lighter (1961) to the inventive The Sorcerer’s Apprentice (1987) by Dukas and Martin Butler’s compelling composition, Dirty Beasts (1990). Revered by Alexandra Coughlan of The New Statesman, this supergroup promises an evening brimming with musical brilliance and profound depth, showcasing an exceptional standard of music making.

There will also be a matinée performance at 2pm specially for young people and local schools.
