Seize this rare opportunity and enjoy an unforgettable oboe night in early summer! \nWidely regarded as one of today’s leading oboists\, Nicholas Daniel is the recipient of the Queen’s Medal for Music and the Cobbett Medal for Chamber Music\, and is internationally acclaimed for his musicianship. Beyond his achievements as a remarkable soloist\, Daniel is also an accomplished conductor and a passionate advocate for chamber music\, and has worked tirelessly to promote music education. \nIn this concert\, Nicholas Daniel and the Macao Orchestra will present various landmark oboe works\, including contemporary composer Reena Esmail’s oboe duo “RE|Member” and James MacMillan’s “Intercession” for three oboes. The Macao Orchestra will also interpret Jean Françaix’s “9 characteristic pieces” and George Enescu’s “Decet for winds in D major”.
